Today we take a look at another indie horror game that has just been released! Developer Endflame offers with their game Ikai a great singleplayer horror experience where you get to take on different yokais as a Shinto Shrine Maiden. Over the recent years it has become more popular to use Japanese folklore and their yokai stories as a base for a setting and it works really well. In this game you will come across different yokai in all shapes and forms which adds to some variety. What really struck me as surprising was that some of the puzzles were quite cool and felt a bit like puzzles from adventures games like Myst. Unfortunately towards the end some of the puzzles feel a bit rushed where it's about finding a specific item in a maze-like environment and that does slow down the pace by a lot and kinda takes you out of the experience. But overall I think that the game is cool with some unique mechanics like the drawing of the Seals and I cannot wait to see what they will come up with next!
