Mushrooms Controlling Synths: Playing A Forest Of Cordyceps

Here I interact with a few cordyceps cakes connected by touching and a stainless steel table. Three of them are prime and about to be harvested and dried. The one on the far left is a little too old for human consumption and I’ve just kept it around as a pet, friend and musical collaborator. I hope you enjoy watching a strange interaction between human and fungi being sonified. Bio data sonification measures changes in resistance that are converted to control voltages and gates for the modular synth. The control voltages from the cordyceps are patched into over 16 different synth parameters.
