The album Getz/Gilberto by Stan Getz and João Gilberto was recorded 55 years ago. It was restoring the prestige of American jazz which, at the time, was in decline. It’s one of the best-selling jazz albums of all time, and received Grammy Awards for Best Jazz Instrumental Album, Individual or Group and Best Engineered Recording – Non-Classical.
