Very good educational film showing how the sets of a theatre in the West End are created. Full titles read: “STAGECRAFT ! - And a really novel and useful variety of stagecraft -“ M/S's of the stage manager Mr Pepper sitting at a drawing board making a sketch of the set. Several shots of Mr Pepper constructing a miniature of the set which even includes tiny spot lights. Nice M/S of the curtain opening on the miniature stage. Various shots of men and women working on the full size set under the watchful supervision of the Mr Pepper. L/S's of men and women working on the 'fly wheel'. Several more behind the scenes shots of the set being built. Good L/S of the curtain being raised on the completed set and an organist playing a wurlitzer. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ.
