M/V Drotten, owned by Destination Gottland from Sweden, on charter to DFDS, operating between Rosslare, Ireland and Dunkerque, France. Traditionally these trucks would have used the UK as a land bridge to the continent. However, post Brexit, the new route means the trucks stay within the EU and can avoid customs paperwork which can add additional, unspecified delays and expenses to the journey. Sailing time is around 23 hours.
