The tiny Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan has pulled off a huge royal wedding. In a colourful Buddhist ceremony, broadcast live across the Himalayan nation, King Wangchuck has married his longtime girlfriend Jetsun Pema. The day was as much a coronation as a wedding, as the king bestowed on Jetsun Pema, a commoner, the Crown of the Queen of Bhutan. Outside the palace thousands scrambled towards the venue for the post-wedding entertainments. For many Bhutanese, this was an occasion of a lifetime, and they just did not want it to finish just yet. Al Jazeera's Harry Fawcett reports from Panukha, Bhutan.
