What is believed to be a 'fireball', a very bright meteor, was caught blazing through the sky over Venice, Florida late on Monday by Florida Police Department dashboard cameras. The American Meteor Society has apparently received over 150 reports about the suspected fireball as it travelled over the southern state. Thousands of fireballs reportedly go past the Earth’s atmosphere every day; however, they are rarely sighted because they are not visible by day or occur over uninhabited regions of the Earth.
