Stanislav, a cowboy-tramp from St. Petersburg In this painting, I saw a woman, maybe even she is someone's mom, who is lying in a forest and thinking about something. I would name this painting “Helga“ because I love that name. It's German. I myself am half German and half Belarusian. I used to be in the cadet line, but now I live on Mytninskaya Embankment. I want to tell you a story about the First World War. On June 5, 1916, there was a terrible artillery bombardment of Verdun. The reconciliation of chemical weapons began. The Germans abandoned 5 regiments, a French division was destroyed, there was no further advance. This awful event went on for 9 months, and 2 million people were killed. I know it because I am fond of history, I like to learn it. For me, the meaning of life is life itself. But the world around us is terrible now, and people themselves are to blame, or rather who they really are inside, so I would like to give them advice - to live in peace and harmony and not to allow hostility.
