Paganini - Caprice n° 13 Niccolò Paganini was an Italian violinist, violist, guitarist, and composer. He was the most celebrated prodigy violinist virtuoso since he was a child, and left his mark as one of the pillars of modern violin technique. His 24 Caprices for Solo Violin Op. 1 are among the best known of his compositions, and have served as an inspiration for many prominent composers. The International Grumiaux Competition for Young Violinists is held annually and takes place at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in Belgium. It was first held in 2008 under the name of “Bravo“. In 2015, the competition was renamed in honor of Arthur Grumiaux, and is now called Concours International Grumiaux pour Jeunes Violonistes (International Grumiaux Competition for Young Violinists).
