IN THIIS VIDEO: I take you through a more or less typical session that my training group does at the latter autumn/fall period as we start to hone in on the indoor season. There are 6 units in this particular session 1: Basics 2: Barefoot 3: Acceleration 4: Run-ups 5: Plyometrics (and take-off work) 6: Take-off power development I had a couple of athletes over from Ireland and so there were a couple of deviations from the normal session content as I wanted to look more closely at their running and their jumping techniques. That’s why for unit 4 of the session I split this into take-off development and plyos. The visitors and some of my group did the latter and focussed on the long jump setup. You’ll see that we did some simple drills to outline the basic positions required. Later into the session I also explained how there are different ways to set the take-off up.
