Possible Mud Flood Image (1800s)? Grands Travaux de Marseille, Open Street Imperial View Building taken from the mouth of the Rue de l’Empress on the central square, June 1863. The official story is that this image is documenting construction works in Marseille. This looks like a lot of rubble, and some of the buildings on the right look badly damaged. It perhaps looks like evidence for some type of destructive event, but not necessarily one that involved mud flooding.
