In the fall of 2018, Joel-Peter Witkin, one of the most recognized and talented artists worldwide, was diagnosed with dementia. I've known and represented Joel for 20 years and was shocked by this information. On February 21, 2019, I flew down to Albuquerque with Ben Kolak, a filmmaker CEG has been working with for more than 10 years, to interview Joel about his condition and the effect it has had on his life and photography.
