Full title reads: “With Medieval Pageantry. Knights Templars - reminding us of Crusader days - attend service in centuries-old ruins of Finchdale Priory.“ Finchdale Priory, 4 miles north of Durham City. Vergers, vicars and choirboys lead procession around grounds of Priory. Boy Scouts follow in the parade and they are followed by representatives of the Knights Templars of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem. The garb of the Knights includes a long white cape emblazoned with a double cross and a small round hat also carrying the cross. They wear sashes under their cloaks and have swords on their belts.
