Eddy Vents :“ I made this video 2 years ago and at the time I received PMs with people calling me racist because I pointed out the fact that it was Westerners that were over-sexualising kizomba. Now 2 years later almost everything I said in this video has become reality. Our newsfeeds are full of more bunda-centric “styling“ videos than footage of actual kizomba. Now we are all trying to make videos to inform people that kizomba is not sexual and that it is a family dance etc in an effort to change the false narrative and gross miseducation of the masses. Some memories are definitely worth re-sharing. I’m thankful more voices are joining the chorus today to share this important message, I only wish there had been more stepping up a few years ago and maybe we wouldn’t need to be fighting so hard to reverse the tides of ignorance.
