Secretary General of United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration Fiorello La Guardia (former Mayor of New York) makes speech at conference inside League of Nations Palace. He says how happy he is to be in Switzerland and introduces Vice-President of Swiss Federation, Dr Phillip Etter. Dr Etter makes speech in French, welcoming the delegates to Switzerland. La Guardia comes to the stand again and thanks the United Nations for the use of the United Nations Palace for the conference. He introduces Secretary General to the United Nations, Trygvie Lie. Lie makes a speech in English, welcoming the delegates on behalf of the United Nations. He talks of attending the opening session of the conference in Paris which is preparing the treaties of peace with five of the defeated powers.
