“Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now“ is written/performed by Gene McFadden and John Whitehead. From their self-titled debut album, McFadden & Whitehead's double-platinum single spent a week at number one on the R&B singles chart and peaked at number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1979. The Philadelphia International disco song's popularity still exists today. Despite being seen as social commentary, in an interview conducted by Philadelphia video producer Bob Lott, Whitehead and McFadden revealed that the song was actually about their frustration with Philadelphia International owners Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff, who for many years preferred that they remain as house songwriters and not performers.
