A Documentary about the Art of 8 Limbs, the devastating Martial Art of Thailand, the modern sport, the critical component in mixed martial arts, and the fierce but elegant, martial art of Muay Thai, an art so much loved by thousands of practitioners and enthusiasts. What makes this art so exciting? It offers a lot. It provides a “symphony“ of kicks punches and elbows, all bound in a nice motion. But It provides more than this. It has excellent stand-up grappling, with great throws, sweeps, and dumps, the kind you use as you strike as you wrestle, hyper-optimized for the closed range, and nothing can beat this! And there is a great “pool“ of techniques that come directly from the old art of Muay Boran. This is the first episode of the “Arts of MMA“, showcasing and providing information about the martial arts involved in MMA. Let's find out more about Muay Thai, the culture surrounding it, its evolution, its breakout as a martial art and modern fight sport, and its role in MMΑ.
