Ever try moving your limbs around in water this fast? If you could, you would move all over. This microbe remains in place, as the fluid dynamics of water on a creature act differently at this small scale. This microbe is a nauplius larva that is less than half a millimeter in length. Note the red eye spot of this micro crustacean. Collected from a freshwater Florida pond and viewed with 400X.
