“Twitter Files” journalists Matt Taibbi and Michael Shellenberger recently appeared in front of the House Judiciary Committee to discuss the improper pressure applied to social media companies by government agencies to throttle or otherwise censor users’ content. But Democrats on the committee instead used the opportunity to attack the journalists’ credibility and ethics while offering up a full-throated defense of the security state and intelligence agencies.
