Titles read: “Pathetone now has pleasure in presenting - THE LATEST “LOW-DOWN“ ON “BEARDS“ - by FRED DUPREZ the well-known Stage, Screen & Radio Star.“ London, probably Pathe Studio. American comedian Fred Duprez talks about the history of wearing whiskers, and says he claims to have the finest troupe of trained beards in existence. He first shows us 'The Ear-wig' - two tufts of hair that he puts in his ears - it looks very funny! Then we see 'The Tea-Whistler's Delight' - a long, dark chin-beard that he tries on. 'The Face-Fin' is two long stiff 'fins' of hair that stick out from the cheeks; Fred says it can be used at rudders in a gale of wind, and puts on a small hat that looks very funny with the fins. The 'Kiss-proof' or 'Asbestos Whisker' is a long beard that comes down over the mouth and chin and Fred puts on a little straw boater to go with it. Fred puts on a huge long beard called 'The Holdall'. There is some perforation damage towards the end of this item and the visuals cut out
