In this video, I meet up with my friend Swan and his Resto Mod Chevelle Malibu, named Malibeast. Swan bought the car for $300 when he was eleven years old. The car now has 10,000 miles on its current build, 22 years later. Swan's favorite feature of the car is the supercharger, which sits on top of a junkyard 6.0 LS block. It has forged internals, a boost cam, and port and polished heads. The car produces around 585 wheel horsepower and 640 lb-ft of torque. The transmission is an LT Type T56, rebuilt with Corvette servos and LS shafts. The car is described as a resto-mod, retaining some hot rod character with a classic look. The interior is mostly factory, except for a billet specialty steering wheel and dedicated gauges. The paint is a factory 2012 Camaro Corvette Ashen Gray Metallic, which appears darker due to a black primer undercoat. Swan highlights his Billet Specialties Street Lites and the loud exhaust system.
