Rich Homie Quan talks about Summer Walker / Rap Retirement / Background Checks - Cornbread TV Ep.7 Funny Marco welcomes Dequantes Devontay Lamar, better known by his stage name Rich Homie Quan, who is an American rapper and singer. He was previously signed to labels . Entertainment and Motown, and is an independent artist as of 2021. Quan experienced commercial success with the 2013 single “Type of Way“ and the 2015 single “Flex.” Marco gets into the interview immediately asking Quan where his name came from. After that Marco goes straight into Quan’s lyrics and his favorite songs. Marco dabbles in some personal life questions for which Quan says he is in a relationship and satisfied with the kids he has. Quan reveals his first job was at Six Flags and also says he would like to collaborate with Summer Walker and Bobby Brown. Quan talks about being bipolar and how he deals and admits to being a liar after Marco asks him. Quan speaks on his hiatus from the industry saying it was all about re-centering. Marco introduces independent artist Code Red to the set and asks him to do a freestyle rap for Quan which turns into a conversation about retirement and rapping. Marco asks the production team about questions that they put on the paper; the production team defends their stance admitting to doing a background check on Quan. Quan becomes aggravated saying that the background check was unnecessary.
