On February 24th, at 5 o’clock in the morning, Vladimir Putin, president of the Russian Federation started a war in Ukraine. A war that nothing and nobody can justify. Since that day, the world we have known no longer exists. We all have been in a state of shock for 7 days. There were no words left to say, only tears, screams and silence. Those of us who have families and friends in Ukraine don’t sleep. I forgot how to smile, think, sleep, eat, function normally. But this is nothing compared to what the people in Ukraine have to live through. There are no words for such cruel, senseless bloodshed and destruction. There is nothing right or good about a war. Just absolute darkness and emptiness. Putin is not Russia. Putin is death and war and tears. The Ukrainian soldiers are defending their home country, their land, their families and children.
