Alexander remembers how, when he was still little, when his father, a pianist, played the piano, he sat under the instrument and listened to Beethoven’s sonatas and preludes. Not only his parents, but also his grandfather instilled in little Sasha a love of music. In the Zagorinsky family, there were always a lot of music records. Grandfather played records with the best operas and arias of famous performers, as well as Fyodor Chaliapin, for the future musician. In order to tell about the life and work of Alexander, his friends-filmmakers agreed to make a documentary. They decided not to wait for grants or budgets. They spent a whole year filming and collecting materials. And finally, they met in the editing studio on Arbat.
