Beautiful singing by the French Military. October 7, 2017 at Napoleon's Tomb. This is the song as volunteered by commenter: (Chorale) Général Loustaunau-Lacau [Paroles] Chant de Promotion Saint-Cyr As tourists, we wandered into this ceremony unplanned and we did not know it was about to happen. In fact, we went through a lot of security to simply get on the grounds, so that may have been the hint. We were in the back of the cathedral and all these soldiers streamed in. The first group went down into the tomb and was dressed in khakis. The second group was around the rails and sang. I video'd because my mother was enchanted and wouldn't let me leave. She spoke with a soldier after and he said it was an induction ceremony for new recruits. Some years later, I am still shocked at the number of comments and views this video has had. Viva la France! And we hope to visit again soon (written May-26-2021). Rebecca Gonzalez (videographer) and Donna Minick (her mom) .
