How snakes move: Brown treesnake lasso locomotion

Research published in the January 11, 2021 issue of Current Biology by biologists at Colorado State University and the University of Cincinnati has found that Brown tree snakes have a unique mode of locomotion that allows them to climb cylinders with a larger diameter than would be possible with other type of snake locomotion that uses friction gripping.
