Eduardo Fabini (1882 - 1950) was an Uruguayan composer and musician. Fabini, along with Alfonso Broqua and Vicente Ascone, was a representative of the nationalist tendency that emerged in Uruguayan music in the 1910s and 20s. Román Barreto says that “Fabini never felt the procupación innovative; He never sought to highlight technical knowledge; says his music as well, because that way it feels, and how is not in your intentions hope for a vain glory, nor seeks more reward than the silence she loves, occupies a plane striking sincerity“. Salas and Pauletto added that “Fabini is essentially a nativist, simple and modest musician“. The Wiki article is a bit difficult to read... This should be a quickie, but it was really annoying because of the following reason: The transcription is shockingly bad. This is not a personal assault to the editor, but honestly, when I try to rewrite a manuscript in MuseScore, then I should spend a minimal amount of time and concentration for it. It's just unbelievable how you can make a mistake in almost literally every measure. That's a shame to the composer actually and cheating because not everybody will necessarily check the manuscript for the “real thing“ every time. But on the other hand I am happy that the manuscript was also uploaded at all... Still not completely free of errors, but very near to the composer's thoughts now. Sadly I noticed to late that the transcription has so many errors, so I spent a good while editing them out. It makes me a bit angry that I almost uploaded a recording which has not much to do with the manuscript. As can be seen from the end of the manuscript, this piece was probably composed June 1929. Pieces like this can polarize; For me, the pieces sometimes don't need to sound very good, I think it is interesting to see how music developed in areas or countries, where national tendencies or folklore were strong and where composers were not associated to a certain school, like russian or french school, at least not their whole life. Fabini eventually learned in Europe too and got his influences from that.
