Riders were stuck dangling over Six Flags Mexico on August 18 as a storm disrupted ride operations in the park. #sixflags #storm #mexico Video filmed by Omar Hernández Medrano shows his view from the stalled Sky Screamer ride, also known as Supergirl Sky Flight, as he and other passengers were pelted with rain and wind and tightly gripped their seats as they rocked back and forth. “We went up Supergirl and as it was underway it started to rain and quickly got worse. As we were high up, with the rain and the ride in motion, it stopped and we were stuck at the top for ten minutes in heavy rain, “ Hernández told Storyful. According to the park’s website, the ride takes passengers to heights of 74 meters, or nearly 243 feet above the ground. In a statement, Six Flags Mexico said the storm temporarily halted several rides, including Sky Screamer, and park staff initiated evacuation protocols. “Unfortunately, the storm intensified during the evacuation process, creating some uncomfortable moments for our visitors. Park staff attended to all visitors and no incidents were reported. Sky Screamer resumed normal operations shortly after,” Six Flags Mexico said.
