Virtually Peranakan Fest 2023 - Sambal - Its History, Origins and Impact on Nyonya Food Culture

It's off to Penang again for a spicy journey of discovery with our good friend Peter Yeoh who is an avid food lover who loves exploring food history. He gives us some food for thought on the history of our much-loved and time-honoured sambal, its origins and how it has influenced our Nyonya dishes. Virtually Peranakan Fest 2023 is an annual weekend online festival with Peranakan-related presentations from around the region organised by Peranakan Sayang. It began in 2020 to connect and engage Babas and Nyonyas around the world during the pandemic as we keep the Baba Nyonya culture alive and kicking!
