This is the second part of my ant modelling series in which we model a cartoon character entirely in Plasticity. This time, the focus is on working with a reference drawing and transitioning from 2D into the 3D world. The ant series is just a part of a much larger project. The result of this project will be a cartoon movie poster modelled in Plasticity, coloured in Blender. Along the way, we will also dive into Illustrator and Photoshop, so stay tuned for the upcoming parts if you want to take part in a journey which covers the complete workflow from starting basic drawings in 3D all the way to making final touches in Photoshop for creating a high-resolution poster ready for print!
