Welcome to the show! This episode is inspired by the recent video we did with Scott McKeon. Scott brought in his Fender Vibratone rotary speaker cabinet as part of a rig we put together in search of some Stevie Ray Vaughan tones. Mick here, hello, and I’ve been forever moved by the sound of that thing: forever changed. There’s something in the physical movement of air in space that means these things sound totally unique and moving… and it reminded me that no rotary speaker simulator pedal analogue or digital will ever really get it nailed. So what to do? I had a couple of ideas; things to try to see if we can improve on the single-digital-pedal-into-one-amp solution that is the norm for most people. Yes, we can improve on that significantly… But can we get anywhere near the real thing? Let’s find out… Enjoy the show! Interesting bits and go to sections… Intro playing Today’s question and inspiration The problem is simple Vibratone and Leslie are different things!
