listen - preorder ’Regrowth’ vinyl merch - During lockdown 2020 I decided to digitise my Grandad Merv’s video archive which contained Super8 film footage from the 70s - from his home nature documentation of wildlife to him recording himself using his AV hardware. I also discovered experiments he did using green screen and found footage of me at 8 flying over cities. This music video is constructed from this footage plus some hand drawn animations by my mum Sue Poggioli. My grandad Merv passed 15 years ago, but I felt like I was collaborating with him on this clip.
