Originally written for the steel string guitar (hence the name!), this is a piece that Eric rarely played in concerts. According to his friend, guitarist Thomas Leeb, when he did it was usually by request and was announced only by its title. I hope I have been able to do the piece some justice on my nylon strings! For the record, Eric Roche is a personal hero of mine and I regret not getting the chance to meet or see him before he passed away so early. Rather than letting this piece fade into obscurity I thought I would keep it alive and record it as my first offering to the web! Enjoy!
