It's time to take out some zombies again! Today we take a look at our first Onee Chanbara title. The series has been around for a while and is described as a cheeky hack 'n slash title. The game was a bit more challenging than described and even has some influences form Ninja Gaiden and Sekiro in them where parrying and timing are quite important. The game can be quite punishing with its boss battles for those who are not comfortable with those mechanics. The story is pretty light and the esthetics are pleasing. The real highlight of the game are its many bosses and I felt the game got a bit repetitive with the many regular enemies you have to face off against. It slowed down the pace a bit and hope that other titles in the series will have a better pacing. But overall my first encounter with Aya and her sword fighting skills was a pleasant one. #oneechanbara #gaming #oneechanbaraorigin #zombiegames
