Here's a music video mix of motorfloater flying in my Bloop 3, up to April 2016. The Bloop is a homebuilt ultralight airplane of my own design. It was built to fly as slow as possible, for easy flying, comfort and safety. I call this kind of airplane a motorfloater, it has a wing loading of less than two pounds per square foot, it is slow and simple, has a small engine, and the pilot flies completely out in the open. I also insist in having the propeller in back, so the pilot does not have to be shielded from the propwash. For simplicity, the Bloop has two axis control, meaning that it is flown with just the rudder (foot pedals) and elevator, there are no ailerons. Ground stops are made on either the nose or the tail, as the pilot wishes, because the main wheels are located at the center of lift, creating near neutral balance on the ground. Notice the changes during the video in the rudder pedals and nose skid, this is a Part 103 ultralight so I can modify it as I please. Sensitive to drag, as always, I tuck the cuffs of my pant legs into my socks. Details and comprehensive technical drawings can be found on my Bloop website, . My latest motorfloater is a monoplane:
