An Apple store in California’s Palo Alto fell foul of the state’s pretty relaxed approach to law and order, hosting a gang of thieves who made off with around $35,000 of stock. The heist, carried out on this year’s Black Friday, seemed to be a haphazard free-for-all, with devices casually being yanked from display tables and outlets and stuffed into bags. Footage of the incident shows just how easy the robbers’ job was, with Apple employees standing by and not getting involved, and even telling customers to stay out of the gang’s way. You do have to wonder why the robbers waited for a sale to start, though.
