A one-month-old hoolock gibbon was found snuggling up to its mother in the Gaoling Mountain Nature Reserve. The hoolock gibbon is a sensitive and anxious animal that lives deep in the forest, making this a rare sight. The species gives birth to only one baby every three to four years, with the pregnancy period lasting for around 200 days. It can only conceive a single baby at a time. The hoolock gibbon is a first-class nationally protected animal in China. There are only about 150 of them in the whole count
