Alam has been touching the hearts of audiences worldwide with his music for over 20 years as a Sarodist, composer, performer, teacher of North Indian Classical Music, and son of the legendary Sarode Maestro, Ali Akbar Khan. Since his initial training into the Maihar Seni Gharana at the age of seven, Alam was blessed to learn and live in the traditional style of Guru and student.
