Soybeans are one of the most versatile foods on the planet. They’re rich in protein, carbohydrates, and other natural minerals. Dried soybeans are used for many products. Some examples are soy sauce, soy milk, soybean oil, and tofu. Fresh soybeans, called edamame in Japan, are eaten as a vegetable. You can also grow soybean sprouts and use them as a vegetable. Growing the sprouts at home on a small scale is really simple, and the process takes only four days.
