It’s Houi! As we mentioned before, he has swimmers syndrome and went to go see our fabulous veterinarian Dr. Gabriel Abreu, at Halifax Veterinarian Center located in Port Orange. Here, Dr. Abreu shows how to wrap his little legs in order to help support them so he begins to learn how to walk correctly. Swimmers Syndrome is a congenital condition that can occur in young kittens, causing the legs (typically the hind limbs) to splay laterally. The kitten may have a frog-like posture, with the hips jutting out to the side of the body and the feet facing sideways, rather than placed underneath the body. With early correction, it is quite easy to fix. Houi is doing fabulous btw. He is the best care with our foster Candace Park.
