The House of Lords erupted in laughter as a member made a joke about Liz Truss in front of Lord David Cameron during questions on Tuesday, 16 April. Former Labour MP Lord Bruce Grocott asked the foreign secretary if he had a message for those who “can't see a purpose“ for the former prime minister following similar comments she made about the United Nations.
