Households flooded in Saitama Prefecture as torrential rain lashes the area

Seasonal rain has been intensified by tropical storm Mawar in Japan’s Saitama Prefecture. Residential areas were submerged, along with pavements, streets, and vehicles. The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) has advised people in the east of the country to remain vigilant against potential landslides, rising rivers, and flooding. Around 7,000 households in both eastern and western regions were reportedly left without power.
