Storm in Warsaw and Lublinie, and floods. A strong storm swept across Poland, affecting many regions. Warsaw suffered the most, experiencing strong winds and heavy rain. Tragically bad weather was also reported in Lublin. Heavy rain flooded both roads and parts of the city. There have been more than a thousand reports of flooded basements. Strong winds tore off roofs, broke trees, and scattered debris across the streets. The storm was also accompanied by lightning; for example, in Targuvek, lightning struck a construction crane directly. Due to heavy rain, water seeped through the roofs of the buildings. The areas near the entrance to the houses were ankle-deep in water. The storm did not spare the capital's airport, flooding the Chopin Airport terminal. Air travel was disrupted due to poor visibility and strong winds. More than dozens of road tunnels were flooded, for example in Zhirardov. Winds and rain washed away roads and turned the streets into small rivers. In addition, difficult conditions prevail on the approach to the capital from Łomianki. National road No. 7 near Plonsk is also flooded. The storm affected 22 counties, mainly in the central and western parts of the country. More than a hundred households reported power outages. Electrical problems were mainly caused by broken power lines. In this weather, most residents stayed at home. Although it was not a very strong hurricane, it could still cause harm. Police and firefighters reported no injuries or serious damage. It was to the west of Warsaw that thunderstorms began to develop in the form of multicell clusters. At some points they are accompanied by heavy rainfall. The storms slowly moved north and northeast, covering new territories. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- The channel lists such natural disasters as: 1) Geological emergencies: Earthquake, volcanic eruption, mudflow, landslide, landfall, avalanche; 2) Hydrological emergencies: Flood, Tsunami, Limnological catastrophe, floods, flooding; 3) Fires: Forest fire, Peat fire, Glass Fire, Wildfire; 4) Meteorological emergencies: Tornado, Cyclone, Blizzard, Hail, Drought, Hail, Hurricane, Storm, Thunderstorm, typhoon, Tempest, Lightning.
