This started out as a novel concept that eventually ended as a project! I find it amusing that in the world of Virtua Fighter, only two languages are spoken by the characters: Japanese and English! I love the simplicity of it, it's a very SEGA thing. Then one day, as the sound and graphics improved with the latest iteration of Virtua Fighter (that is, Ultimate Showdown) I can't help but admire the presentation, but also imagined a 'what if' situation. What if Akira spoke in English? How would he sound like? Will he sound weird or acceptable in English? So I decided to have some fun and give it a go recording his voice. I shared it on social media and fans loved it! I continued the concept by working on the other characters that did not speak 'English'. I got other voice actors involved and this is the end result of the production. Please enjoy! Many thanks to the voice actors involved, I had some wonderful sessions directing and recording with you.
