Go to Ball Hog Gloves Shai Gilgeous-Alexander played 30 minutes in Monday’s 116-104 loss to the Lakers, scoring 20 points (5-of-13 FGs, 9-of-9 FTs) with seven rebounds, four assists, four steals, two blocks, and one 3-pointer. One night removed from torching the Suns for 35 points and nine assists, Gilgeous-Alexander was held in check by the Lakers. The 20 points are the fewest he’s scored in a game since January 16 (19 vs. Clippers), and the All-Star guard had as many turnovers as assists (four). Given how well SGA has played this season, he’s allowed the occasional “dud.” Monday’s performance would be acceptable for most point guards, so the use of “dud” is a bit harsh. But that’s the standard Gilgeous-Alexander has set. He remains a top player in fantasy basketball and a credible MVP candidate. Support Me With A Coffee!
