An emergency bushfire ripping through Perth’s north is “hopefully not a look” into the summer ahead, says Sky News Senior Reporter Cameron Reddin. “While we’re not expecting another repeat of the Black Summer, all of those dangerous signs are there,” Mr Reddin said. The blaze has so far destroyed ten homes and burnt through more than 2,000 hectares. A late wind change yesterday sparked fresh evacuation warnings for residents in Banksia Grove, Tapping, and Wanneroo. The fire is being treated seriously enough for Western Australia Premier Roger Cook to return home early from his trip to China.
