VICTORIA - Day two of Premier Christy Clark's employment road show took her to Kamloops on Tuesday where she announced $15 million for skills training. Clark began rolling out her jobs plan in Prince Rupert on Monday where she announced money for the expansion of rail into the city's port. Today, Clark was again promoting her initiatives in an election style campaign speech announcing she plans to double the number of international students attending B.C. institutions in the next four years. To achieve those numbers the premier will have trade offices, around the world and especially in Asia, promote post secondary education opportunities in the province. The government says international students pump one $1.2 billion into B.C.'s economy and are responsible for 22 thousand jobs. The Liberals are looking to capitalize on those numbers. Clark says B.C. does well, but not as well as other jurisdictions.
