How do you quantify crosstalk on PCB interconnects? There are multiple ways to do it: local coupling evaluation, pulse or step response crosstalk in time domain, power sum crosstalk (PSXT) and Insertion Loss to Crosstalk Ration (ICR) in frequency domain and, finally, Integrated Crosstalk Noise (ICN). Setting and controlling limits on one of those metrics or for all of them is important, to reduce the crosstalk impact on Bit Error Rate. All those metrics can be quickly computed with Simbeor SI Compliance Analyzer as shown in this short video in real time (no editing). Step 1 - find and evaluate the local coupling in ERC analysis mode, step 2 - run frequency and time-domain analyses in FSI analysis mode and compute pulse response crosstalk, PSXT, ICR. Step 3 - evaluate ICN. All that can be further automated in Simbeor with scripting. CMP-28 validation platform from Wild River Technology is used in this demo. CMP-28 was also used to validate Simbeor analysis results with measurements provided by Wild River - is your software validated for the crosstalk analysis? #simbeor #electromagnetics #signal_integrity
