In June 1945 the 25th Dragoons received their first Sherman DDs at their base in Cocanada (Kakinada) India. 86 DD tanks were shipped there to take part in Operation Zipper, a plan to capture Port Dickson, Malaya. Luckly the Japanese surrender cancelled this operation. We have found a few of the Sherman DD’s left behind, full video coming soon.
