On full alert 100-mm Rapira anti-tank gun crews set up firing positions in border areas of Kursk region to eliminate the AFU small armoured groups. Artillerymen perform tasks along with reconnaissance units, which carry out air surveillance using UAVs. Anti-tank gun crews fire up to six shells a minute at a distance of more than seven kilometres when fully loaded. The Rapira is designed to launch direct fire at the heavy armoured vehicles. When needed, the 100-mm towed gun can engage other targets. The task of artillerymen is to be ready any time of the day to eliminate targets in detected positions.
